What’s on the Horizon for Synergy Films?
Autumn is always one of our busiest seasons. As things begin to wind down around the holidays and everyone rushes inside to escape the cold, our team at Synergy Films starts to heat up. With football, basketball, and baseball seasons in full swing, movie releases coming just in time for Academy consideration, and more – we are pushing quickly towards 2023 with some of our strongest work yet.
Kicking off the 2022 NBA season with our home team, we partnered with Elite Edge Media and the Atlanta Hawks for their annual media day. The frenzy of activity included multiple stations for still shots, interviews, press conferences, and motion capture set-ups for the arena hype intro reel. Fans can experience our video work live at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, and for our out of state fans - check out the video here as well as our additional promotional materials as shared by the Hawks’ organization.
In cross-promotion with the NBA and NBA on TNT, we partnered with WBD/Sports and DC to amplify the release of Black Adam, the new superhero adventure flick starring Dwayne Johnson. Having worked with Johnson before on last year’s Olympic campaign, we captured the actor behind the scenes as he pondered the ideal sidekick. From there, Johnson starred in our recent spot for the MLB, perfectly situated at the intersection of Synergy’s strongest sectors: production excellence in sports, entertainment, and advertising.
Dwayne Johnson was not the only celebrity crossover we orchestrated in the past few months. Working with rock legend Beck, our team produced an unique, musical homage to Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes with our colleagues at NBC Sports.
Continuing our work with NBC, we are kicking off the holiday season with the premiere of our Thanksgiving Day Opening, which will broadcast live from the network to celebrate the national festivities. Check out some BTS pics from the shoot.
